Welcome to the 2019 TaDa! Performance Arts Festival
All performances take place in beautiful Wakefield, Québec
The TaDa! Performance Arts Festival is just one of Theatre Wakefield’s eclectic and exhilarating arts events held every year. It’s no ordinary festival – where else can you leave the Theatre and be surrounded by the rolling Gatineau Hills, just steps from the clear waters of the Gatineau River? TaDa! is literally a breath of fresh air on the festival circuit!
As always, this year’s Festival will feature the best theatre, dance and music we could find – from local artists and beyond. Sometimes funny, sometimes whimsical, dramatic, gripping and always thought-provoking, the 2019 edition will feature the premiere of a very funny play by the iconic Ian Tamblyn, a dance program featuring four riveting solo dance artists, a professional magician who lives in Cantley when he’s not touring the world with his amazing feats (!), a play reading from our New Works program, and much more. The children’s magician show will open with a short, beautiful dance work called Chagall by renowned Canadian choreographer Danny Grossman. It follows Wakefield’s popular Saturday morning market, so come for the market, stay for TaDa! We have family rates, discounts for on- line sales, our gorgeous theatre, and shows that’ll knock your socks off!
So circle the dates on your calendar and be sure check back soon for more information about our shows. We expect our full website to be up by early July.
