Welcome to the 2018 TaDa! Performance Arts Festival
All performances take place at the Centre Wakefield LaPêche, except where indicated.
The TaDa! Performance Arts Festival is just one of Theatre Wakefield’s eclectic and exhilarating arts events held every year. It’s no ordinary festival – where else can you leave the Theatre and be surrounded by the rolling Gatineau Hills, just steps from the clear waters of the Gatineau River? TaDa! is literally a breath of fresh air on the festival circuit!
As always, this year’s Festival will feature the best theatre, dance and music we could find – from local artists and beyond. Sometimes funny, sometimes whimsical, dramatic, gripping and always thought-provoking, the 2018 edition will feature four plays (several award-winning), a recent work by a renowned dance artist, and a musical evening featuring a dozen performers at Wakefield’s iconic concert venue, The Black Sheep. Following Wakefield’s popular Saturday morning market, there’ll be a community tie-dying workshop, square dancing for the whole family and a show for kids – this year’s Festival is all about bringing people together to celebrate community.
Dates to circle on your calendar: Friday, Sept. 7 and Saturday, Sept. 8
Place: Indoors and outdoors at the Centre Wakefield La Pêche; the final show is at the Black Sheep, Wakefield, QC
